Thank you for your interest in submitting an ID Chalk Talk to the IDSA's Medical Education Community of Practice. ID Chalk Talks are open-access teaching scripts for ID educators and learners to use to teach and learn ID topics in the clinical setting.
Please review author instructions HERE.
Each ID Chalk Talk submission should include:
- A title
- Learning objectives
- PPT or PDF file containing the visual presentation of talk
- DOC or DOCX file containing a teaching script for the talk
ID Chalk Talks submitted by individuals still in training (e.g., student, resident, fellow) require a faculty co-author, who is responsible for providing mentorship and ensuring content accuracy of the ID Chalk Talk.
ID Chalk Talks will be peer-reviewed based on the following criteria:
- content accuracy
- content suitability
- script clarity
- chalk talk design
- active learning strategies
- length
ID Chalk Talks accepted for publication will be posted on the IDSA MedEdCop's Teaching and Learning Resources for ID educators and learners to use.
